I have been having an issue with the heat blasting me on cold mornings (below 30) then turning very cool then back to very warm then cool. This hot blast seems to level out after about the first 20 minutes. For some reason the factory left a big gap between the temperature sensor and the kick panel below the steering wheel. Look below and to the right of the steering wheel and you should see a little set of louvers that is your temperature sensor inlet. If you look inside with a small flashlight when the HVAC system is running you can see a very small fan inside pulling air across the temp probe. My truck had a large gap that let the HVAC pull air from behind the dash so everything had to heat up before it quit calling for large amounts of heat.

I filled that gap with a piece of 1" round foam (water) pipe insulation and it seems to be much better the past few mornings. At least the temperature seems to level out much faster now. I should have taken pics when I did this over the holiday but its to cold out now. You can remove the lower kick panel by just pulling it out, starting at the top and go slow if its cold you might break the posts that the clips are mounted on.

Hope someone finds this helpful if your truck is having the same issue.

Auto mode never seems to work well for me. I just select the floor and dash outlet combo and set the temp I want. Seems to be holding the temp better now.

Hmm I kind of had that issue when I first got it but mostly I set mine on like auto and 70 and its run pretty great over the last 4 years. If my wife drives it she immediatly changes the controls and then jacks everything up. I have to reset it all when I get back in the truck (LOL). Occasionally it does get stuff in either hot or cold mode but usually corrects itself

They flashed mine right after I bought it and it fixed a lot of this issue. Still not perfect, but much better than it was.
