That's an awesome shot. what did you use to light the jeeps?
Your camera setup is plenty good enough to get MW shots like these. As you said, you just need to get out there and shoot some more. If you have not checked it out yet, my Hunting NEOWISE trip report talks about how I find locations to photograph the MW.

For lighting I use two small LED lights bought years ago. I just picked up this one as I have a large lighting project planed for next summer and need quite a few more lights.

Early this week was Moab and currently Ouray. The snow and rain has made it a little different, but still beautiful and fun. A couple Jeep Badge of Honor badges coming. Trying to talk my wife into driving Black Bear tomorrow and then Imogene on the return trip.

Dang, I hope all that snow is gone when I get there next week :sun:
It's supposed to be back in the 70's Friday through next week. Road construction delays right outside of Ouray up to 30 minutes, near Engineers Pass entrance. We're doing Last Dollar Road today, along with Alta Ghost Town, tomorrow will be Imogene and Yankee Boy Basin, and Camp Bird.

Good! Glad to see your JT is getting some mountain use!

An extra note, reconnect the front sway bar when done on the trails and back on the highway. Gladiators get really wallowy and start to understeer without it connected.

I'll be out there next week as well... I am in Denver Area (Nederland), and am still looking at 6 inches of snow on my deck... I refuse to shovel it. Come on Sun!

@Mightytalldude Your gladiator should reconnect the sway bar automatically over like ~15 MPH... so if it isn't, get that checked out!

We finally got a RTT on this thing and did a shakedown test last weekend before the snow... not bad... maybe see you out on the trails @spenchey

Keep an eye out for a white rubicon hard rock on 35 inch ko2's with iowa state university plates, that will be my wife and I. Just got done putting the hard top on about an hour ago.

Hopefully this will be a nice relaxing trip to escape the COVID craziness we've been living in...

It started clearing up today in the last hour. Fingers crossed for tomorrow. Last Dollar Road was beautiful, and snowy, with maybe a handful of vehicles on the trail. Went for a quick look at Alta ghost town, again snowy, and then down to Rico to quickly look at the mine structure there. I built a Halloween display of the same mine structure years ago. Lunch in Telluride was expensive, $50 for burgers and fries. Just got back to camp for the evening. Mojitos, Frito pie and cards for the evening. I don't have a Rubicon, so the sway bar is a manual disconnect.

That looks like it was a fun trip!

Some images from today's trek through Imogene 2/3rds up the pass until it was too slick to continue without lockers. Turned around and went around to Yankee Boy Basin from Ouray side. Still got the Jeep Badge of Honor.

I did get 2 battle scars on the rear bumper from the 5 point turn around I had to do on Imogene. The back bumper slid into a rock group while backing up and gouged two spots on either side. Not noticable at a normal glance. A sole Toyota Land Cruiser did make the trip over, as we caught up with them on the Ouray side as they came out of Imogene Pass. The sign on Ouray side said Imogene closed at Tomboy. The weather forecast calls for 70°+ this next week. Oh well, it was fun with the weather we had.

A Texas Gladiator on Engineer's Pass decided not to take the easy line, nor
the hard line, but the impossible line right down the middle. All 4 wheels were hanging when he stopped.
