Anyone know if shrine pass is still open, or if it’s too sketchy in October? Thinking about going today.
Shrine should be good, even with snow. You can pretty much drive it with any vehicle.

Does that mean it’s too boring? :)
We drove it about 3 weeks ago, originally to access Macalister which ended up being closed. It's a dirt road. Pretty in many spots, but not challenging at all, so yes, boring.

Boreas Pass, really good for Aspen viewing, Georgia Pass, just not as many aspens starting in Breckenridge, but all around Breckenridge is beautiful, not as much chance for standing snow for those two. The lower portion of Argentine Pass outside Georgetown would also be good. Stop when you get outside the trees and at the mine sites, as the rest gets steep and slick with snow. Don't take Waldorf Wagon Trail (lower road that goes under the power lines) unless you like Colorado pinstripes.

I'd go hit Crystal Mill for Aspens. And BBQ. Good loop, beautiful and great food. Or St. Elmo and Tin Cup.

Crystal Mill, and Red Cone are easy access.. I'd even get a group and do China Wall or Mini Moab with you. Those are up by Tarryall.

How long is mini Moab open for use? I’d love to do some wheeling at lower elevations now that the snow is starting.

It should be open this weekend. Few deep mud pits I would avoid. They looked to be dug out and a fast way to get high centered. Looks like people get in there and pin the throttle. We got a dusting in the mountains.

Coming from summit county, is there a faster way than 285?
