Composite Panels

Does anyone here have any experience with composite panels? Or know anyone who does? I have been trying to gather some information and find someone to chat with in detail but haven't found anyone thus far - it seems to be a weird area where the few experts I have been able to get in touch with either dont have time or just dont want to have a long conversation about them. I am also trying to find if there is a source to acquire them - total composites no longer sells to the general public, and with Earth Roamer quitting the game I wonder if those products might be harder to acquire in the future.

Are you taking about 4' x 8' panels with very think aluminum encasing a plastic core?

Not necessarily 4x8 specifically, but a fully composite panel like https://totalcomposites.com/

My friend owns a sign shop and always has composite panels in stock. But they are only 1/4" thick. I think he may also stock 3/8" thick. So you might want to call a few sign shops in your area.
