On my TJ I have had Currie lowers naturally with Johnny Joints for about 20 years ( original joints) . I had the same for uppers for a while but swapped the upper Johnny Joints for the MetalCloak duroflex bushings. At that time MetalCloak made a bushing that could be inserted in a JJ housing. When I had just the Currie lowers what a difference in the tracking on the road. I swear by any arms that have actual JJ's in the lowers. I am guessing it tracked better being it did not have the big OE type Clevite bushings that are softer which means easier movement by the axle . That don't happen with JJ's and steering correction is noticeably less with JJ lowers

what is it that you don’t like about the Clayton components? Currently looking for a lift and this could help!!
Let me get back to you in a week or so. I've recently discovered some other potential issues that may have been hindering the Clayton components from working properly. I'll be doing some suspension work next week to hopefully correct the issues.

I’m confused. How did you figure the 2.5 Ride Right with a leveling kit would be less than 2.5”?
I ordered the 2.5" ride right kit, but with 1.5" front springs instead of the springs that usually comes in that kit. This was the recommendation of Clayton. They suggested taller springs in the rear due to the amount of weight.

I like it. Think for black Friday sales. I'm getting the rest of the arms.
I've got all 8 of their Crawl arms under my truck, and I simply can't get over the quality of these Core 4x4 arms. The wall thickness of 5/16" (.313") is incredible. I doubt there's anything on the market that is stronger. I'm not sure why more people don't use the Core 4x4 arms. How have yours held up?

I have all the arms now. I've beat the shit out of them. About 3 pumps of grease every oil change. And they are fine. Still nice and tight.

I noticed how stiff they got when I greased them.
Before I installed them. I put the Johnny Joint in a vise and rotated the ball to work the grease around. They're still tight.

So, why are the Core 4x4 control arms not more popular? They have nearly double the wall thickness of the Metalcloak and Clayton control arms.

People are scared of the Johnny Joint. Think that they wear out faster than other joints. Plus people now are allergic to grease guns. They think that they transmit more noise and vibration into the vehicle.

Nobody wants to maintain anything.

Did you put the Core 4x4 stickers on your control arms?
