What is the best option out there (besides replacing the OEM head unit)?

I'm using the AAWireless unit, works pretty well. Everything works in Android Auto, can also plug my phone into a port for charging without issues. Have it plugged into the USB port in the middle console, connects automatically to my phone after about 15 seconds of starting the Jeep. Take a look at the Reddit group for tips but all I had to change from default was selecting the Start/Stop option in settings.

Don't the Uconnect systems have WiFi capability though? I'm confused why an adapter is needed. According to Google, if you have Android Auto on both your phone and vehicle, and your vehicle is WiFi capable, it should work.

Only with UC version 5 I understand. I think it's on the Ram but, redheaded stepchild, Jeep doesn't get it yet...

Besides Ram, it is on the 2021 Pacifica and the new Jeeps (Grand Cherokee L and Wagoneers).
They only seem to add at a refresh or redesign.
