So just got my new 2022 JT Rubicon without the headliner. I decided to buy the mopar headliner and while looking at the bolts to take the back panel off i noticed a crack near the bolt. Im going to take the back piece off tomorrow and see if the crack goes all the way through. If the crack doesnt go all the way through anyone recommend any fixes? My salesman said they could replace the back with one of the JTs on there lot. See pics.

It's fiberglass, so like any fiberglass repair it's just resin and matting and sanding and painting. It's in a bad place to work, would be a pain to make it look clean. It may or may not be a load/stress area.

Switch out the top and don't worry about it.

This. It's a new truck.

Don't touch those bolts. They'll just blame you.
This.

Don't remove the top (its not a freedom panel). Don't touch the bolt.

You want to be able to say to the service writer that this is how you FOUND IT. And that you have not touched the bolts or ever removed the top.

You could do all that work and then when you torqued the bolt down it might crack again.

In all honesty, fiberglass doesn't "crack". It flexes. Which cracks the Gell coat on top of it.
So this isn't structural. Just cosmetic. But its a new truck and the dealer has offered to make it right. So do it.

But don't panic if the 4th time you put the top back on it cracks again.
