Crossing water issues with JTRD

After crossing water in my JTRD it lost power while driving. It would stay running in neutral but would die as soon as you put it in gear. It also had a max RPM of 2000 while in park. I pulled air filter out and checking for water it had a little moisture in the air box but nothing major. I reach up into the hose and there was no water or moisture in it . After putting everything back together and waiting an hour or so it would go into gear and stay running. I was able to get back to the house but was not able to hold a strong RPM. After letting it rest for the night it ran and runs fine. Has anyone else had this issue? If so is there a fix? Thanks all!

Any check engine light? I can't imagine that there wasn't one while it was acting up.. If so have it scanned. If its a sensor code check that particular plug for moisture.

sounds like limp mode no? I just did a few water crossings on Sunday with deepest bring couple inches below headlights and full bumper immersion when going in and no issues.
