Those that know understand, some of those that don’t, hate. It’s cool. No one is trying to convince anyone otherwise. There’s more than one way to skin a cat. Use what you want. This was a thread about my experience. I don’t care to hear from those that haven’t.

If I had owned a Rubicon, I wouldn’t have used this bar. It works best for me and after owning several Rubis I really enjoy not touching a switch or reaching under removing crap. The ride is so much better than my other Jeeps, which went a long way into me purchasing this bar. It’s not all about flex which most people won’t even get close to using the stock flex on their sport, let alone a Rubicon.
No hate here my friend, like I said, lots of them out there with happy owners.

Never said there was. I said some people do. Just like any other thread or parts that some people have never used, or have any experience with. Internet warriors. It’s all good my friend. :like:

Since I didn’t opt for the Rubicon I needed some sort of sway bar disconnect. I decided on the AntiRock for several reasons. Number one was ride quality, then ease of use and price vs the so called “quick disconnects“. Yes they are expensive but very high quality and with the combo of the Rancho 9000XLs and King hydro bumps it is the best riding combo I have ever had. It is very soft and plush with a bit more body roll in the corners but nothing severe.
I have had many modified Jeeps throughout the years and all I have to say is WOW. I have nothing on this JT except MC 3.5” springs, the AntiRock, and Ranchos with a 3/4” spacer in the rear (I need to add about 3/4” in the rear to make it level, it’s a tad high in the front)That’s it. It drives great, no wandering, smooth ride on 37s with 28psi. I have the front Ranchos set at 4 and the rears at 3. Here are some pics as well as some in my little off-road area near me. Too wet for anything crazy.

Coils like sway bars.

What you get with the anti rock is controlled articulation. You get better traction because the body isn’t flopping around above the axles. The body stays more level. Feels better and keeps weight on the tires.
Controlled articulation, this is the next level for sway bars. I read a article quite a while ago when I was in the market for disconnects, someone was doing R&D on full articulating and DAMPENED sway bars. It looked promising. Haven't heard of anything come to market yet, sounds interesting.

Now that would be interesting. When I saw the photos at the beginning of this thread, I thought it was a system that eliminated the roll bar and instead used roll dampers.

Like the old lever dampers used on pre WW2 cars.

Lol, I just LOVE the Gladiator. I just can't give up my JLUR for one. But I did try to talk my wife into one, but she went for a JLUR instead. If I hit the lotto or just get lucky in some way I'll dial one up pretty quickly, though. My brother has a red JT Rubi and it is pretty darned sweet. I'd say I'm 51% JLUR and 49% JTR. Close call but my typical use keeps me in the JL.

So I just come over here to dream a bit, as well as interact with the wonderful folks over here.

Yes, that room is the deal. I have to be VERY creative to get all my crap into the JLUR, especially when I'm hauling kids along.

For those Mojave owners who may be interested, keep in mind you will need to re-locate your shock remote reservoir from its current location.

I will need to see what options there are for that before making my decision.

Teraflex built and sold/sells a system like you describe. Basically it is two sway bars that connect together with a simple twist of a knob they disconnect and only the off road (an anti rock basically) one stays engaged. Believe it was only for the JK and had some issues with playing well with some aftermarket parts.

Edit: appears they make it still and for a number of models https://teraflex.com/tj-dual-rate-st-front-sway-bar-system-4-6-lift.html
