Just broke mine last weekend too right after the off-road park. Didn't break at the park, no, following my friend home, and see the rock fly from his tire like a bullet and hit the windshield!

I think I'm in luck since I live in SC.

Three states — Florida, Kentucky, South Carolina — waive the deductible for windshield replacement and repairs as part of comprehensive coverage as mandated by state law because driving with a damaged windshield is dangerous. They are called “zero deductible” states.
Ultimately I decided not to replace at this point and went a different route, until the next rock hit happens anyway.

Before, right after the Rock hit:

After a $95 resin fill (85% better) and still showing slight crack and imperfection.

Add a $5 decal over the remaining imperfection to make it mostly undetectable.

That $100 this time is better than a full windshield replacement. If I take another smack in the face, I’ll replace it next time.

Note: The professional that filled the crack with resin and installs windshields for a living said the following. And I quote, “Gorilla glass windshield protection is on the inside glass of the vehicle, meaning if there is a big impact it lessens the chance for injury to the passengers. However, the glass on the outside is the same as the OEM windshield, so chips and cracks are just as likely with Gorilla glass or regular OEM glass on the outside windshield.” Yeah, not what I wanted to hear either!
