Isn't this precisely what the 3 honks are for ?

Got it. Mine 2021 doesn’t have this feature. It's a live setting on the Tazer, meaning it requires the device to be connected to initiate a horn kill.
I ”liked” your response but in truth I dislike the response (that quaint freedom thing!). I miss my 64 VW.Oh, you are not Free, my friend. Stellantis is collecting EVERY detail about your vehicle, including driving habits, i.e. hard braking, hard acceleration, speeding, seat belt use, GPS, locations, etc. and selling it to the highest bidder. That's why I'm working on disabling the telematics.
No, it's a "Live" intercept feature. BCM has no such function. There’s no setting in Jscan or Alfaobd to disabled?
tazer fixes that tooI wonder who it is at Jeep that gets to sit around and dream up these useless and ridiculously stupid features? The "auto park" one that automatically shifts to park if the door is open while moving slowly made me want to throw a brick through the windshield years ago...I had to kill that one with a seatbelt extender buckle.
Tazer - "KILL3HONK"
Interesting. Mine just starts working again on its own. Aggravating it stops workingTazer turns it off. The horn honking was the sole reason I bought one but I have found a few other live features that I like. It isn’t perfect. Mine quits working after about 6 weeks but cycling in to the menu fixes it. It has done this through every firmware and on two different Gladiators.
It's not just a Jeep thing. My wife's Range Rover Evoque does the same thing. Probably some NHTSA dreamed up safety crap that's coming due soon.I wonder who it is at Jeep that gets to sit around and dream up these useless and ridiculously stupid features? The best part about Jeeps.tazer fixes this and so much more
One tip I read, but forgot, was to lay your fob on the windshield wiper, start the engine, then get out, shut the door and remove the key.Yep that horn drives me nuts too. I often ride with no doors on and if I jump out and leave it on for any reason it drops two rounds of three rapid horn blasts on me. Very annoying. Someone said once that if you hold your key FOB close to your side view mirror before closing the door it'll deactivate that. I have tried that and it does actually seem to work... sometimes. Haven't tried that doorless yet but here's hoping.
Mine might start again on its own but I've never tried to wait it out. How quickly does yours usually start back?Interesting. Mine just starts working again on its own. Aggravating it stops working
Same here. At my age, I'm constantly checking my pockets to confirm ...Keys - Check. Phone - Check. Purse - Check. My fob goes in my pocket, that way I don't forget it in the Jeep.
I miss the days of keys in ignition switches, it was foolproof, I don't know why they had to stop.
