Has anyone been able to do a side-by-side in-person comparison of the MB Quart dash pods for 6.5 knee speakers and the Metra dash pods for 6.5 knee speakers? Any differences that make a possible difference in quality or function?
I'm just asking about the empty pods to use with customer speakers, not the MB Q pods with preinstalled MB Q speakers (unless maybe you own the MB Q pods with speakers and took a look inside)
The MB Quart are substantially more expensive. Trying to understand whether there is any functional value, or just brand name hype price premium.
From photos I can see that the MB Quart has a round opening vs Metra having "fits many but maybe doesn't quite fit any" tabs in the opening, and it looks as if the MB Quart maybe has more webbed bracing molded into the inside walls of the plastic. But really can't tell much by looking at photos on a screen.
Thanks in advance!
