Hello fellow Gladiators,

Today makes exactly one day since I put my order in for my Gladiator.

As some of you, long time Jeep owner. The fever started back in the 80s with a CJ7 I picked up from a fellow leaving base to be stationed overseas. Later I paid it forward and sold it to another Airman as I too got deployed overseas. But I was hooked. As soon as I came back I picked up a YJ. Regretfully years later I traded it in for a Grand Cherokee Limited. Eyed the TJ unlimited for a while. Loved the 2 doors and extended cab, but never got one. 2012 came around, kids were out of the house, so I got me a JK. What I currently drive. Until the Gladiator gets here. Then it will be passed down to my oldest son.

Its been one day since I configured and gave my deposit and I already have ants in my pants for it to get here. Six to eight weeks I've been told. A drop in the bucket compared to the years I've salivated over Brutes and AEV conversions of JKs into trucks. Thinking this day would never come and I would have to eventually dish out crazy money for one of those. But lo and behold Jeep finally made the move. So here I sit. With my wining lottery ticket in hand, waiting for the grand prize to arrive.

Leave it to the Jeep community to not disappoint. Found this group already teaming with information. Thank you for letting me join. Hope to be a regular nuisance to you all already riding this beast. Need to gather as much info as I can while I wait. Hope to have my Gladiator PHD by the time the dealer calls me to go pick it up. Wish they had a way of tracking my order from now until that day comes. So far the dealer told me I had to wait until the Jeep has a VIN number and its off the assembly line. Anyone with connections in Toledo that I could offer a beer for some updates?

Once again, thank you for the acceptance and Jeep on.

Lex

From the day I ordered mine till it came in 6 weeks later, it was a daily ritual, forum, and a new youtube about a Gladiator. Also, I got on www.jeep.com and went to their contact e-mail person and told them I had just order one from x dealer and they got the VIN number weeks before the dealer did.

I am guessing that the dealer did not want to give the number to you...it was available on mine 2 days after the order was placed, I work at the dealership in as the IT Director which gives me unfair advantage and access to the information..

I know how that goes. I sold my 2003 Rubicon when my 1st daughter was born, diapers were more important.
We had a 2011 jku for a while. It was alot of fun, ended up having to sell it. My wife and i have been just buying vehicles that got us by and she got a very nice traverse today. We have a few months to work on a few bills and I should be able to seriously look at gladiators. The longer I wait the more options I have so I just have to be patient. In the meantime, like you, I've been trying to get my fix through everyone else. Lol
Good luck on the wait!

I was downright pissed when my truck took 9wks and even angrier when it got to town and took a week to get from the rail yard to the dealer...5 miles away.

If you want updates got to “live chat” and they’ll ask you for some info, like your VON, and they’ll let you know your status.
