Dayum...Cracked Windshield At Only 550 Miles

Well shit. Mine lasted almost 9 months, 10,000 miles and actually had multiple rock strikes without cracking. Then one day driving in the snow. Smack...crack.....although not traveling across the windshield. Great I can get it repaired. C'mon really you think your that friggin lucky. Hell no......next day going to work....smack.....crack....boom need new windshield. I'm looking into the GG windshield.

Well shite ... a semi truck kicked up a rock and now I have a nicely crack windshield. Truck is not even a month old. Happened right at 550 miles. DAMMIT!

What is the average out of pocket if, when getting it replaced under insurance, getting the Gorilla glass windshield installed vs. the original OEM. if I am allwed to pay the difference?

Well, first off...you shouldn't be invoking a religion in your post...I believe Shite is one of those religions in the Middle East. The correct spelling of that smelly stuff that comes out your arse is Shiiiiit...ain't no "e" on the end of it. Secondly, if you have a true, comprehensive knowledge of this forum, you would know that the culprit of your broken windshield is a hummingbird from Iowa with a baseball bat. Yep, I saw it on this forum for the first time...breaking news...ask the folks from Iowa.
But, when it hit was it like a thud or a ping??? Obviously, a ping would signify an aluminum bat.
