So I know there has been a good bit of discussion in several previous posts mostly about the LED fender lights but just wanting to confirm.
I recently sourced some great take off LED fender DRL, Fog lights and headlights for my 2021 Mojave . I have a small town dealership that is very reasonable and willing to flash the computer but seem a bit unsure of the process and not sure if they have done it before .
For those that have went the dealership flash route , hopefully you can give some insight. I plan to install them all at once and take it to the dealership. I have previously installed take off LED OEM tail lights.
I know the codes are
LPY- DRL
LNV - Fog Lights
LPX- Headlights
LBQ - Halos

But I also had seen a post about
AD6- LED lighting group
So if I have them all installed would AD6 work as a single sales code to activate them all or would all the sales codes still need to all be added individually?
I'm not sure what they did when I went to have the taillights flashed. They might not have needed a code . The dealership said they turned on " Exterior LED Capability ". I havent seen anything about that in forums and not sure if that is even a thing lol. Thanks so much for your assistance.

Nope. I read the thread as he already had them do it and shit doesn't work. DRLs....

OP if you haven't done anything yet...don't go to the dealer. A bypass cable, an app, and an OBD Bluetooth dongle are all you need.

Headlights and fogs:

Easy. 2 sales codes for all years. DO NOT turn on led fogs until the truck is programmed or you'll blow them.

Halos:

Since you have a 2021 Mojave you have a 3.6L and the halo wiring. The dealer code will work.

Drls:

No. Dealer code cannot account for the fact you don't have the led premium harness which has fault sense wires and works differently. Your truck like mine has parking lamp side marker control going to the drl harness on Pin 1. Led trucks have fault sense wire here.

I have a 2021 Mojave that came with all halogen front end and added OEM LED headlights, fogs, and drls.

For the drls, watch this video I made :

And read this:

Cliff notes:

You can add the LED headlights, fogs, and turn on the halos with dealer codes. You can also do this without a dealer using the below option.:

You will need jscan, alfaobd, or tazer for the drls.
Thank you so much . This is very helpful

To emphasize : No dealer code can ever correctly enable OEM LED DRLs as the halogen truck has a different wiring harness.

We work around this with alfaobd and others by turning off LED Diagnostics in the BCM...something dealers cannot do with their canned sales codes.

I went a step further and depinned Pin 1 from the DRL connector which stopped codes from appearing on scan.

A real baller like @Jimmy07 would wire in the fault sense. :) Not me.
So if I depin #1 from the led harness and have dealer add sales code LPY, they still won't work correctly without hyperflash and dash messages? That has to be done with a taser or similar? I really was trying to avoid doing that myself .

Video was super helpful and I had not came across that before . So if I depin #1 from the led harness that would eliminate the ground fault in a scan but does that still mean the only way to eliminate issues with hyperflash and dash indicators is through Tazer or similar? LPY at the dealer will not make operational without issues?
I an a complete novice and messing with setting myself makes me nervous.
I would say screw it and just do the headlights and fog lights but that would look dumb as hell with halogen DRL lol

Interesting. I swapped in take off LED fender signal/DRL light assemblies with the OEM attached harness and enabled it with Jscan with no issues. Have active LED DRL's and no de-pinning of the harness either.

I think it looks fine. I swapped OEM LEDs in and don't plan on doing the DRL. I did, however, swap in an amber bulb for the DRL. Looks tons better.

Well shit, I didn't think that through before I blurted it out. ? my apologies
No worries. I agree that it doesn't look quite right. I have the LED DRL's. Just waiting for warmer weather to do the work.

Yeah they work without the depin. I just had codes on scan. Pics in my post I linked.

Sales code will turn on three Diagnostics settings which will cause hyperflash and turn signal out messages in the dash.
