Deciding on a 3" Lift

I actually decided to go a different route and piece together a kit. Mopar Springs and LCAs and an adjustable front track bar with Bilstein 5100 shocks and a set of Metal Cloak disconnects. I will start with that as a base for upgrading to adjustable control arms and rear track bar as needed. If I don't like the rear springs from Mopar I may go with a rear spacer and stock Max Tow springs for towing.

I think @ShadowsPapa may have gone that route in the rear of is truck to maintain towing capabilities.

they’re 35x12.50R17 Delinte Bandit DX-9 on Nomad Convoy 17x8.5 -10.

they actually ride extremely well and do pretty good offroad as well.

I ended up with the Zone lift, after talking to Zone they mentioned it’s essentially the same kit and spring rates as the BDS AND JKS basic 3” lifts. I added a Maxtrac track bar and it rides great.

So how do you like it? Looking at doing this one with the upgraded fox shocks and new stabilizer.

We have 22K miles on the lift so far, we also went with the Fox setup (if not mentioned).

A few things after tons of road trips and easy trails. The highway ride is phenomenal, especially after adding the MaxTrac geometry kit. I highly recommend getting a geo kit. The ride is very squishy (soft) but does have some harsh spots on sharp bumps.

As for the shocks, we live in the desert so it gets very hot (as in 113 today), and do wish I went with nicer shocks though there is nothing wrong with these ones at all. You feel the fade pretty quick if running faster trails (40-45MPH) probably due to the steel body. If you're not doing a ton of fast offroading the shocks are plenty good for the street and slower trails. The biggest thing is, loaded down with 4 big Americans in the truck it will bottom if blowing through drainage ditches.

The coils, definitely settle a ton after the first 10K'ish miles so I would recommend getting the additional 3/4 spacer if you want a leveled look.

A few takeaways - I have absolutely no regret on this kit with the Fox Shocks and the kit is worth every penny. However, If I were to do it again I would do Metalcloak bump stops with them (or any upgraded bump stop) because the bottoming is harsh, the 3/4 spacer to get it close to level again, and coil correction pads to get rid of the very slight bow the springs have. I highly recommend the 3 upgrades I listed so you are only installing it once.

I also have considered upgrading the shocks to a 2.5 or 3" for more adjustability but cant justify it because we do love the ride.

Yes the 3/4" addition and some better bump stops were discussed already when I was talking with the shop earlier. So those parts are checked off as recommended to me already that planning on.

Looks like I should be asking about a track bar. Not worried over the shock actually like the oems, but figured do upgrade since lift and spacers. Not doing desert racing in michigan . But if I was doing any real hard core offroading or at least more offroading in general then a couple hundred miles a year, I'd get upgrading those. So may still ask them regardless just to get quote.

But that gets me with the right questions to have discussion with the shop I'm thinking about having doing this. Thanks!

You are correct, I completely forgot that.. I did add a MaxTrac front track bar to fix center the front wheels as well.

Sounds like you are on the right track to getting it done right.
