DEF System Recall!!

Right now, I'm kinda glad I don't have a diesel. Gas here is $4.33/gallon and diesel is $5.25/gallon...means that heating oil will also be wicked expensive too...

I just called my heating oil company to come fill my oil tank before my contract runs out. I'm currently paying $3.06/gallon for heating oil under the contract (which runs out 30 April, and I might just top off again at that point on general principle). This will last me until next fall. I'm kinda scared as to what heating oil will be next fall ??????

the diesel gets 30% better mileage at least so it’s still less per mile. I get about 22 on 39s I don’t think a gasser would do that in free fall into the Grand Canyon

Funny, this same article ends on this note...

"Overall, 2016 and onwards EcoDiesel’s are quite reliable and strong. With proper maintenance there is no doubt that these engines can last 300,000 miles and onwards. Just be cautious of towing heavy loads as this seems to be the most frequent cause of common problems with these engines. Despite being a diesel they were built for fuel efficiency and longevity rather than being serious haulers."

Got my recall done. Don’t feel like the sky is falling yet. Well at least not due to my recall. However the sky is definitely ready to fracture due to other issues in the world.

Mine was completed on Friday. So far I haven't noticed anything different. I did 100+ miles over the weekend and drive 70 miles a day for my commute.
