I just got done chatting with Jeep chat. I'm now in KZ so I'm finally out of JB purgatory
No ETA on delivery. Seems like things are moving just a bit slow lets hope all the rest move from JB status this week.
Congrats. Hope it ships out for you quickly. Thank you for all of your insider information you have been able to give throughout this very nerve racking process!

Update from my source.
Upfitter is located across from the plant and the do the bed liners, tonneau covers, cargo management group & decals. NOT trailer hitches or radios. I'm told even though it is a large size upfitter they can still tend to get backed up at times. Forgot to ask but I think they also do the headliners.
So I guess we just need to be patient with the process once the build gets into JB status.
@GreenMonster I told my source you have been in JB for 5 weeks, and how I thought they lost you JT.
He said sound like issues for sure and that stuff happens.. it not a perfect world. Not the greatest answer but I think there must be some issue with your build to sit in JB for 5 weeks.

Thanks for the update sounds like it is my bedliner and cargo group holding me up.

Did your source say anything I might be able to do about this? The dealer said they put in "a heat ticket" and I have a case number through Jeep Chat, but if it's stuck and never coming out, do I need to order another one? It'd be great if they provided me with more info or a course of action by either them or for me.

Well I am now in JS as of a few minutes ago. Hoping this is just because they are waiting for a train and there isn't any issues with my build.

From Jeep Chat:
Thank you so much for holding. I am showing that your vehicle is in the stage prior to being released by the plant. Vehicle may have been selected for additional quality inspections or held for delivery purposes. At FCA, you can be assured that we take vehicle quality seriously. Currently no Dealer ETA has been provided.

On the 8th day of "I" status, so hopefully that doesn't indicate a quality problem.

From reading through some prior responses, it looks like most builds breeze right through "I".

I am in JS Status now? Seems to be storage.

From Jeep Chat:

What the system shows is that the fantastic color choice of Gator for your 2020 Gladiator Rubicon is that
• This is the stage prior to being released by the plant.
• Vehicle may have been selected for additional quality inspections or held for delivery purposes.
• At FCA, you can be assured that we take vehicle quality seriously.
• If being shipped via railcar, vehicles maybe held until there are enough units to fill the shipping requirements.
The status code is JS.

I was in JB for over a week and expected KZ after... I suppose it is a good thing to do a quality inspection.

Same as me, i am hoping the train yard is just full and there isn't a larger issue at play

Mine also went to JS status today. I bet they are just waiting on room at the train yard.

Update: Received my VIN today and I'm in D1 with an estimated ship date of 11/7. Ordered on 10/23.

Took about a week to get a VIN which aligns what others on the forum have said. I'm not holding my breath for that estimated ship date; seems like there are lots of chances to get hung up in the process.

Here are the details on my options for the record:
  • Gator green Rubicon
  • Black hard top and fenders
  • Black cloth interior
  • Bed liner
  • Entertainment package w/ 8.4" screen
  • Tow package
  • Cold weather package
  • LED lighting package
  • Diver assistance packages
  • Trail rail cargo group
  • Proximity keyless entry
  • Hardtop headliner

I'm right there with you - 8 days in I - good to hear it's not just me - hoping it's just back up in subsequent steps...
