Lengthy delay

I ordered my JTR on 12/4/21, received a VIN shortly thereafter. The truck was built on 1/24/22, I believe, and I received an initial ship date from FCA of 2/11/22 which then got pushed back to 2/22/22. But, here I am STILL waiting. I figured there would be some delay due to the spray-in bedliner and possibly the bed cover, but dang. Is anyone else running into a LONG wait?

Initial ship date was 02/20/22 for me. I ordered 1/31/22. Still haven't shipped. Yours is an excessive longer wait than me. I would be complaining to the dealer for sure. That's just me though.

We ordered Feb8th and the truck showed up the first week of march. Factory mopar bed liner included. No LED package though. I've heard those are holding things up.

I've contacted the dealer a couple of times. I don't get much of a satisfactory answer, which I expected. They did say they have one other order put in 3 or 4 days before mine and another a couple days after mine that they're still waiting on. Hard to imagine that it has been "built" for 2 months and still hasn't arrived.

Ordered 2/10 with everything option wise. It arrived at the rail yard in town and was unloaded on the 4/2. Just waiting for a truck to take it to dealer. So dont think your options are the reason.

Ordered my wife a JL and it took right at 16 weeks. FCA could do much much better in tracking of the builds.

Since it is already built I have to think it's an accessory item. Maybe the bed cover is causing the delay? I've also heard the all weather mats are delaying orders as well, did you get those?

My JTM was ordered on the Jan 24th and arrived at the dealer on March 21st (so almost right at 2 months). I also had bed liner so I don't think that's the issue.

I ordered mine on 12-27-21 and picked it up from the dealer on 2-19-22. Came in a week sooner than expected.

No, didn't get the mats. I'll attach the order sheet. Only thing I can think of would be the bed cover or hardtop headliner if it's not the spray-in liner. I live fairly close to the KY truck plant where the Super-Duty is built and I know they're having a serious backlog waiting to get the liners sprayed in at the 3rd party vendor.

Ordered my JTM on 2/14. Took delivery from my dealer on 3/15. No spray-in bedliner, aux switch group, slush mats or hardtop headliner on purpose. Dealer told me that they might cause a delay. Ordered the LED package and it did not hold up my build.

Transport delay issues are a reality (rail & truck).

Anyone have a "reasonable" idea of how long it might take from "final inspection at the plant" to arrival in KY?

Interesting all the speculation as to what is causing delays - bedliner, tonneau cover, slush mats, whatever - all accessories stuff and things like the cover, mats and so on are in the channels for sale.
Yes, some things are the responsibility of the body vendor, but so is the body and paint among other things.
I'm suspecting people are just tossing things out to explain delays with nothing solid. Even dealers have no clue - after-all, they'll say that the more you order the longer it takes to build it and that's bunk for sure.
Don't listen to dealers/sales people. They have no clue, no inside information at all.
There are Jeeps being delivered fully loaded while others without some of those "options"........
Some things are in short supply, yes, especially electronics, the 8.4 is hard to get at times, but it's all speculation.

One thing noted back in 2019 - when you get D1 or whatever and get a ship date - that's actually the build date, not when it ships off the property. It's noted in a couple of other threads.

Sorry to here about the wait. It would be nice if they had better communication. When I talked to Gupton they said they still had ordered Jeeps from late last year that they still have not received. Some of which had not even been built yet.

That's where I'd cancel the order and move on. Soooo close to 2023 model year.
I'm lucky in that I get to keep the one I have until the new one comes in, but if it gets into that time frame, there's no way in xxxx the dealer is going to honor the trade price 6 months later - time and miles diminish the value and I'd not blame them. If mine gets into that situation, I'll just say screw it, forget it.
