Delicate tailgate

Mine was delivered to the dealership with two small dents on the tailgate. Didn’t see any sense in making a stink over it since I figure I’ll be putting a few on myself.

They are barely noticeable. In just the right light at just the right angle. Don’t get me wrong, I’m certainly picky, but this one was very minor.

To the thread’s point, my guess is my dents are a result of some very slight pressure during transport. But it’s aluminum. Can’t expect too much.

Everything that I see on forums that happen to Gladiators, I've seen happen to other trucks, SUVs, cars, and yes, even Jeeps. The Gladiator is no different and the issues aren't Gladiator specific. I dinged my Ram's metal tailgate just as easy and my cousin's Silverado had a ding from a trailer ball that barely hit it. Drive what you like, like what you drive! Enjoy your rig!

Buy a hail dent glue and puller kit from Amazon and with some rubbing alcohol you can easily pull out a dent in about an hour of loving care.

I remember how delicate the tailgate of my my CJ8 Scrambler was compared to my original 1968 Gladiator truck.

I have not tore mine up yet. Put enough pressure on any body panel, instant dent. Tail gate comes off for the weak hearted.

These are Jeeps. And new model Jeeps. What's different this time appears to be the owners, many of whom are new to Jeeps (and some to new vehicle ownership).
