I plugged a new Android phone into my 2021 Gladiator, and it apparently broke the infotainment system. I get the "Device Not Supported" pop up every 10-15 seconds no matter what I do. I've changed cables, tried iPhones, disconnected all the phones, did a soft reset on the system, pulled the fuse for the radio multiple times and nothing seems to make it go away.

There have been a few times when it's worked for a few seconds, both with an iPhone and Android phone, but ultimately the error messages keep coming back. It's making the whole system unusable. I did check the UConnect site and it says my VIN has the latest software. Any other ideas on what I can do? Trying to avoid taking it into the dealer.

Maybe they meant the climate control buttons. I don't have the infotainment system in my Gladiator. It was the first thing I changed.

Thanks. I think I looked at that site. I’ve tried everything but the hard reset. Any idea what the “weather up and down” buttons are?

They may mean the temperature controls.
They appear to do things when pressed in combinations.

Nice! I’ll give that a shot.

Any luck? I've got the same problem all of a sudden. Nothing is plugged in. I reset the radio. It comes up even if my phone isn't in the Jeep. Kind of driving me crazy.

I haven’t tried to hard reset it yet. I did switch out a cord and started to use a USB C cord with my iphone. I still get the error sometimes, but CarPlay will at least come up now.

Just to follow up here in case it helps anyone else... I called 800-Jeep- Wave and talked to someone who was stumped. She said she would send it up to a Uconnect specialist and they would call me. Well, I never got a call but a few hours later I got in the Jeep and the error was gone. I have to assume they fixed it remotely. I'm glad it's fixed but still coming to grips with the idea that they can basically remote in to my vehicle. Or maybe they can't and it's just a coincidence but that would be one heck of a coincidence.

Thanks for the follow up! I might give that a try as well and see what happens.

They can send OTA software updates to the head unit. They cannot remote into it.

Just an FYI I finally caved and took my truck into the dealer to have them look at this error. They had to replace the “media hub” (the plugs in the dash). Uconnect was zero help when I called them. I also could never figure out how to do the hard reset either. Going to pick it up here shortly, but hopefully it’s fixed for good.
