Just followed the instructions from website. Adjust them fully down, pull from the top of mirror and they pop off. Then disconnect the defrost harness. How do you get the old ones off?
Guessing you didnāt have to route the turn signal stuff hahaha. Do your mirrors have the Blindspot indicators?<5 min to install both of them, and it's 29 degrees outside.
Yes, defrost and blindspot. I opted to not do turn signal cause, well, I personally think it's dumb for the effort involved to make it work.Guessing you didnāt have to route the turn signal stuff hahaha. Do your mirrors have the Blindspot indicators?
I was doing sound skins and the Oracle covers anyway, so I went ahead and got the turn signal onesā¦ā¦ā¦ however, my Blindspot with the Suma is all jacked up, at first for one drive, they were fine now the right one will come on and it just stays on and the Jeep tells me that my Blindspot monitoring is temporarily unavailable not excited about that. For me I have to kick the drivers side way out or Iām just looking at the side of my Jeep but the passenger side is beautiful! The heating elements seem to be working well, but my power mirrors no longer work so I canāt adjust them electronically. No idea whatās going on with that.Yes, defrost and blindspot. I will say the mirrors are great and that the US DOT needs to make the format of blue and convex a standard feature.
That sounds like a connection problem, not a mirror problem. I get the same alert if I drive with no doors on.I was doing sound skins and the Oracle covers anyway, so I went ahead and got the turn signal onesā¦ā¦ā¦ however, my Blindspot with the Suma is all jacked up, at first for one drive, they were fine now the right one will come on and it just stays on and the Jeep tells me that my Blindspot monitoring is temporarily unavailable not excited about that. Finally got to this yesterday. Itās the light in the driver side mirror. Itās got a faulty connection or something in it. I put the factory mirror back on and the Blindspot monitoring works great again. I have emailed @Suma Performance to see what they have to say. That sounds like a connection problem, not a mirror problem. I get the same alert if I drive with no doors on.
I do concur with driver mirror being all the way out, which gives me perfect view anyway.
So when I tested out the mirrors with the original styled resistors I had issues with the pins not lining correctly and then the pin moved. I also had an issue with a resistor gone bad right at initial install. Other than that with the replacement resistors I am all fine for the last 8 months or so. Eddy with Suma did inform me that they now changed the version of the resistor for the bsm. Key is, just have to be careful with aligning the pins with the prospective female ends. So definitely take a look at the pins to make sure they didn't get bent or are not lining correctly. Finally got to this yesterday. Itās the light in the driver side mirror.
