It was also part or teh PR video jeep released.. This is one of those features you'd see in a CARMAX list of available options to increase teh resale value. LMFAO
I remember when they were first launching the JTs, the CEO is at the unveiling event getting interviewed, going thru the features of the truck, and he was VERY proud of the fact that the mid size truck with the short bed could hold a full sheet of plywood ??really trying to get those contractors to consider the JT as a work truck

....that you can set the incline of your tailgate for reducing the chances of stuff falling out by attaching the cables to the hooks on the side? Comes in pretty handy.

Even my 2001 Sonoma has this, pretty standard

Also the stock ones are plastic and I noticed this company makes aluminum replacements in case of breakage.

Yep, note-make sure you get the cable in the channel (as opposed to just around the hook). The channel keeps the bracket from breaking, if it’s just behind the hook then the hook will snap off.

Whenever I get a new vehicle I end up sitting in the driveway with the owner's manual and I read through every feature of the vehicle. I genuinely don't understand the people who don't, you just bought this very expensive, complex, and pretty cool machine and you aren't going to go geek out about all the features? I just don't understand that.
Sure, you can probably start it and drive it around just fine without reading the manual, but it reminds me of the guy with the Frontier who had his vehicle for about 4 years and was blown away by the second glove box he never knew he had. He was the "real men don't read manuals/instructions" kind of guy (and said so that very day), but he ended up looking like kind of a noob when he didn't know about something as basic as how his glove box works.
Where is the manual that tells you how to read the manual?

yeah absolutely, first thing I did with mine was just start carrying it around and I went through that whole bitch. I don't like the idea of there being features I'm not using that might be helpful! and if there's anything that is a question, like a button or display I'll find that out too. Have to know everything about this beast.

My girlfriend is the opposite, doesn't know shit about her car. In her subaru I'm like whats this do whats that do? She didn't even know I could program her garage door.

Yes, I know it. Have seen it somewhere (manual, youtube or where ever), consider it as a smart feature and even have used it several times.

Nice that we have a thread on this. :)

I'd already seen it in the marketing stuff in 2019, but then the sales guy showed how it worked to haul plywood and such. So yeah, since day one.......
