I have never used them. Couldn't figure out what they were really for

Created a bit of a different use for the elastic straps that look like they are for a traditional wrangler to roll up the back window...

There's a snap under where your roof folds back to and the elastic straps loop around the latches to keep the soft top tight. I can't believe nobody knew about this....?

Nope...just went out and tried it. I had no idea.

Doesn't do much for aesthetics but it is a bit cleaner and will cut back on some top movement.

Thanks!

I would highly recommend not to roll your back window. After a few times it will start to have micro scratches and look cloudy. My Jk had the same thing and it even says in the manual to do it, but it will ruin the plastic.

I have just over 200 miles on my Gladiator and have been using these straps for exactly this purpose. it cuts down on wind noise and top flap at highway speeds. what else would you do with them? Now I'm curious. I've seen a guy with his rear window rolled up into them but it didn't seem right because the window sagged in the middle quite a bit.

Per Mopar they are actually there to roll the window up for safari mode. Honestly it takes 30 seconds to remove the window and 3 minutes to put it back in. I’d never roll it up personally.

Plus at highway speeds with the way it sags in the middle it would/ could get ripped right out at highway speeds.
