So I believe Wolf box has a mirror delete so you can get rid of the factory mirror. Not sure if that would help at all. I have G900 and I just wear sunglasses and pull the hat brim down lower. No more problem.

Trying to purchase the same set up but a little confused and maybe you can help.Hey everyone,
Bumping this back to life... I just installed a Wolfbox G930 in preparation for my Scout Tuktut camper. I chose the G930 as it's a 10" wide offering and I figured it was the best chance at an OEM fitment given our OEM mirrors are about 9.5" wide.
I ordered the optional direct fit kit (#179) arm bracket, optional direct fit bracket plate for the backside of the mirror (B0B53FTB6L), and optional hard wire kit. I knew that trying to "bungee" the Wolfbox mirror around the OEM would not work given the front facing camera on the Wolfbox hits the OEM mirror.
With these (3) additional pieces from Wolfbox I headed out to the garage to give it my best shot. I dismantled the entire front upper trim/grab handles/roll bar plastic of the JT and spliced into the existing auto dimming OEM wiring. I didn't feel like routing wires thru the firewall and this was way easier. I tapped into the pink/yellow OEM wire for ACC power and the black OEM wire for ground. I combined the Wolfbox red & yellow wires as I chose to forego the "parking surveillance" mode when the car is off (you need constant hot for this and I didn't know what OEM wires up there would provide it and also be fused)
As you can see the install turned out very clean... and for the million dollar question of "will it clear the sun visors?", the answer is YES! The passenger side visor has more room than the driver FYI. The driver side visor will contact the rear view mirror if the mirror is not rotated enough to the passenger side. With a digital view it's not as important to me to have the mirror adjusted to my face like a traditional reflective version. If I do rotate the mirror to my face to just use it as a traditional version it will hit the sun visor on the driver side.
Conclusion, is the 10" Wolfbox G930 a perfect solution = NO, but does it clear both visors if oriented properly = YES. Given the fact that it always clears the passenger side (i.e. wife's side) I'm 110% happy. If I have to deal with having to move it ever so slightly for those sunset days, then I can deal with the trade off of seeing past the back of my camper.
Hope this helps.

1 The #179 bracket states it's only for the 900 mirror = correct, but you just use the arm and ball/socket from the kit
![]()
2 the mirror back plate for the 930 doesn't have a Jeep option = correct, search " B0B53FTB6L" on Amazon and buy this kit only for the backplate

3 What optional hardwire kit did you purchase and why = this is so you can hardwire the mirror rather than using the included 12v cigarette lighter hookup

TIA
The "backplate = B0B53FTB6L" is only available on Amazon as far as I know when I talked to WB over the phone. Maybe you can order the #179 bracket on Amazon too? The customer service of WB over the phone is GREAT and they've always taken care of me when I call.Is that OEM bracket only available through the Wolfbox site or can you get it on Amazon as well. Like to just order it all at one swipe.
Unsure if you're still around to answer this but I'm about to do this and I'm curious how you handled all the extra wiring that comes with that hardwire kit. Looks like you can't remove the "box" in the middle as it's dropping the voltage from 12 to 5 and I'd prefer not to be cutting up the end with the USB-C cable. What did you do there? Thanks!Hey everyone,

I know that I did not cut or shorten any wiring. If you could please send me a picture of exactly what you're referring to that would be great. Otherwise any extra wiring I would have just bundled together and zip tied out of the way.Unsure if you're still around to answer this but I'm about to do this and I'm curious how you handled all the extra wiring that comes with that hardwire kit. Absolutely, I've attached the photo of the hardwiring harness below. One end is the USB-C cable which connects to the mirror itself for power, the other end is the ground, acc, and constant power, and in the middle is the voltage drop down/battery drain unit. There's a ton of wiring which will need to be tucked somewhere up in the area surrounding the mirror. Wasn't sure if you did any cutting here but it sounds like you didn't.I know that I did not cut or shorten any wiring. Okay I remember that. I stuck that little box back behind the glove box and tucked the wiring in back there as well. I just ran what was needed up to the rearview mirror then.Absolutely, I've attached the photo of the hardwiring harness below. Copy. In that case I'll probably use the acc and constant available under the glove box. I had planned to go your route but since I'm routing the cables down there anyway I'll take advantage. I appreciate you responding so quickly!Okay I remember that. I stuck that little box back behind the glove box and tucked the wiring in back there as well.
