Hello all, I am not good at wiring and needed some advice.

I am looking at Diode Dynamic SSC2 lights for ditch lights.

How do I wire this to Aux 3 or 4 (15 amp) wires? In the popular KC lights video they wire 1 wire to the 15 amp wire and 1 to a ground and disregard all other wires.

I reached out to Diode and they said I need to wire 2 wires to the switch and not sure how to that.

Not sure if it applies to all of the SSC2s, but looking at a few of them they have a backlight function. Due to this they need 2 switches or the included 3 way switch. One to turn the backlight on, one to turn the main light on. You would wire the main wire to the battery, the ground to a factory ground. Then the backlight wire to one aux switch, and the main light to another aux switch (if you want the backlight). If not, wire the main (yellow wire) light wire to a switch.

I think when Diode Dynamics said run two wires to the switch they meant their Diode Dynamics 3 way switch, one wire for the back light and one wire for the main ditch light.

You can't run two wires to one jeep aux switch. It's one wire per switch. So you would wire the main beam to aux 4, and if you wanted to use the back light, wire that to aux 3, but it's not necessary to wire the back light to get the main beam to function.

Thank y'all so much and I did explain to support that my goal was to use the built-in auxiliary switches but maybe they misunderstood me.

I have the DD Elite Yellow Fogs with Amber backlit feature. The backlit feature is optional and most wire that to some sort of DRL or IGN (Ignition On/Accessory). I wired mine to DRL signal wire.

For the SSC2s, just wire the "FULL POWER/HIGH" wire to one of the AUX switches [use AUX3 or AUX4 if available as 10A - 16AWG] and the GROUND/GND wire to the body [there is a free grounding point on passenger side right by AUX wire bundle].

The "Backlit/LOW" wire is optional and only if you want the pre-runner look.
