Sorry if this is a repeat question, did a search but fell short.

2023 Mojave with factory Halogen lights.

Upgraded to OEM LED Tails, OEM LED Headlights and Diode Dynamics Amber LED fogs.

Everything is working perfectly (programmed with the Tazer JL Mini).

Is there a way to disable the fender DRLs and just use the Halos as DRL? I have looked through the Tazer guide and am not seeing a manner in which to do this.

Thanks!

So I just checked the tazer instructions and it looks like you can only change to a different DRL location using the tazer. This is under the lighting menu, Set DRL location. Options are:
DRL
Turns
Fogs
High beams (lol)
Low beams

I also checked JSCAN. There, however, it lets you select "None" as an option under DRL lamp location in DRL settings.

I saw those options as well, and there is another option under the DRL function: Dedicated, which is what it is set to now.
I was hoping there was a different setting somewhere that I am missing. I have read that if you have factory LED fenders, there is an option in UConnect to turn them off, but am missing that on the halogens.

I giggled at the High Beam option as well. Why would this be an option? ?

I have factory LEDs but don't remember seeing that option in UConnect.

Answered my own question after some trial and error. In the Tazer, set DRL to none. Fender DRLs off, Halos stay on. Fender lights only come on with the headlights and turn signals still work!

Awesome, so the option does actually exist in the tazer settings.

Back when DRLs first started showing up and up till LEDs began getting used, it was quite common for manufacturers to use high beams at half voltage for the DRL. But with modern lighting it would be rough. It’s why when you see especially Toyota and Subaru vehicles with chinajunk LEDs swapped in the LEDs are blinding as DRLs because they don’t vary brightness like halogen.
