I looked at the few bed rack options out there that were compatible with a roll up tonneau cover and decided I could make one myself at least as cheap, if not cheaper. Plus I have fun designing stuff like this and seeing it all come together.

The final parts came in today and I got the first of the two rails on for a test fit. Gotta go to the hardware store to get a couple more bolts to attach the other one. Pretty excited about how well it all came together.

Going to paint the brackets tomorrow and get everything on for a final fit. I'll start trying to figure out a bike mount solution for my kids' bikes next. The front forks are too narrow for the fork clamps that are available. I'm thinking just a couple of angle brackets and bolts to attach the front forks and a couple in the rear to strap the rear tire in.

Where did you get the mounting bracket?
