The right column says that optional equipment may replace standard equipment. I would think heated mirrors would be listed with the cold weather group and find it hard to believe that the optional cold weather group would eliminate heated mirrors. However, as stated "optional equipment may replace standard equipment" It is possible as written!

Heated mirrors were not part of a cold weather group.
When they say "may REPLACE" they mean things like the standard tires being replaced by optional tires, the 7" display being replaced by the 8.4" display, that sort of thing. Standard items are not removed. They are improved or superseded by better. Replace, not remove. No option package will REMOVE standard equipment, especially a cold weather group - if anything, heated mirrors should be part of that, but they are not because they are standard.

I have the cold weather group and it is always heated steering wheel, heated seats, and remote start with auto trans. It doesn't remove standard features, it adds to them.

Here's my STANDARD stuff - note that my cold weather group did not nor would it remove the heated mirrors.

It must come with the advanced safety group because I have all the other options but do not have heated mirrors listed.
Does your mirror have the little triangle icon?

Yes I do have that. It's for the blind spot monitor. I actually just checked my build sheet and I do have heated mirrors listed. It just wasn't on my window sticker for some reason.

[QUOTE="George D., post: 577431, member:
Bill, The last thing I'm looking for is an argument! I have the launch Edition Rubicon and I just read my window sticker. There is no reference to heated mirrors anywhere on that document. I honestly didn't know that I have heated mirrors prior to reading this post! The cold weather group does not list heated mirrors, agreed. I also agree that it would make no sense to replace heated mirrors as standard equipment. However, on my window sticker (unlike the window sticker posted on this thread, it is not listed as standard equipment. Therefore, I have no way of knowing that I have heated mirrors! As crazy as it would be, the the sentence " unless replaced by optional equipment" is open for interpretation. The bottom line is, I honestly have no way of knowing that I have heated mirrors based on my window sticker! I'm going to look at the owners manual for a reference there. In the meantime, how do you determine if the mirrors are actually heating?

Hi Jason, how did you obtain a build sheet?

I'd be surprised if it doesn't have that standard on a Rubicon, my Sport S Max-Tow has them and no cold weather package. So I'm going to follow this thread to see if anyone don't have it on a Rubicon.

It's not on my window sticker either - but it IS on the build sheet.
Window stickers are never all-inclusive.

They will quickly defog/defrost. The mirrors are turned on, for 10minutes, when you turn on the electric rear window defroster.

Thanks for your input. It was listed on my build sheet as well. I don't understand why its not listed on ALL window stickers. Then again, there are a lot of things I don't understand during the crazy time we are living in. In any event, I now know I have heated mirrors! Next, is to learn how to know when they are in operation
