This may be a stupid question but I just wanted to make sure it's not something I need to call the dealer for. So I went surf fishing yesterday and I deflated my tires as usual but I went a little lower than I normally do. It was around 17 psi. So I drove to my fishing spot and everything was okay. When I started the jeep to go home the Service esc light was on. I also was on the tire screen pressure screen and saw the tires were at 13 and 14 psi. I've lowered tire pressure multiple times so I didnt know why the esc light was on this time. I was in 4wd hi and switched to 2h when I got on pavement.

I drove to the air up station and inflated the tires to 37psi and the ESC light shut off with in 100ft after leaving the air station. So I I put 1 and 1 together and thought it was tire pressure related. Just wanted to confirm it wasnt an issue and just normal, thanks in advance to anyone that can confirm.

ESC is electronic stability control. It is a mechanism that keeps the tires from spinning. Since you were on sand, it may have something to do with it.

Note: you do want to "spin" in the sand, so, I aways turn off ESC, otherwise, while you are climbing in the sand, the Gladiator will not let you spin the tires, and you feel like you lost all the power and the truck digs into the sand in the middle of the hill... If you keep the tires spinning hard in the sand with ESC off, the Gladiator will scoot up a sand hill. I have found that 1st gear 4WD High with ESC off is the best gear for sand hills.

Just to clarify, are you saying a message was on the screen to service the ESC or the dash just told you it was off? if you locked the diffs the esc comes off, service the ESC sounds like a bigger issue then tires being low and shouldn't have anything to do with the other. BUT it may have just been a computer error and was solved when you restarted the jeep. clarification would help the people smarter than me figure it out.

Yes, the Service ESC message was on the dash and the esc icon was a constant on the dash, not blinking like it was active. No other malfunction lights were on such as, ABS, ESS, etc. So I knew it wasnt a voltage issue. Anyways, after researching how the esc functions and what causes malfunctions I think I've figured it out. Btw i do not having locking diffs, and I didnt turn my traction control or esc off prior to driving on the sand after I was in 4h. I will from now on in the future.
