have been lurking on the forums for a few months - 24 Mojave x that I’ve had since April of last year. Haven’t gone crazy first mod was pintlers with 35 inch KO2s. Just installed the aev 2 inch spacer lift and was going to trade up for fifteen52 wheels and 37 inch KM3s but am now wondering if the 35s are enough? Would prefer not to regear will take better photos tomorrow curious what everyone thinks

once is gets warmer have rock slider engineering steps going on next

I like it. I have 35's on my Rubicon and I think they are enough.
I don’t mind the 35s - thought they looked great without lift now with the lift keep going back and forth on whether they’re too small

I was in the same scenario, no lift though. Had heavy 35” Falkens and ended up ordering 37” KO2’s. They will most likely end up being around the same size but the BFG’s are 10 lbs lighter a piece. I think yours will look good either way and you could always get some $ back from the 35’s. Now you have me wanting to peel off the Mojave decal.

Keeping in mind that it is your Gladiator and what anyone says ultimately means diddly squat as long as you are happy.

My thoughts:
- Does it look bad? Not at all.
- Regearing? I went up to 37's and am super happy I did. If you go with 37's you are on the verge of "needing" to regear. Some will say you don't have to (which is true), you will experience a perceived loss in power. If it's an automatic your 8th gear (and manual your 6th gear) will likely become a distant memory and you'll have a better chance at seeing a unicorn than making use of those again. I lived with that for a while until I no longer smiled every time I drove my Gladiator. When I regeared, I went back to smiling every time.
- Changes in MPG? Not even worth bringing up, it's a Jeep, if mileage was your focus in vehicle selection, you would have been on the Toyota Prius forum. Lol.

Good call on all. I’ll wait since the 35s only have around 4-5k on them and I drive into the city sometimes. Will see how the rock slide engineering steps look if too bulky with the 35s I’ll do the 37s with new wheels (I am not a fan of AEV anymore for lots of reasons)

Don’t know what year yours is or if it’s out in the sun a lot I did mine the day I picked it up to avoid the letters being burned into clear coat just don’t like letters and all that stuff on trucks. I’ve had 2 raptors and none had the vinyl by choice

My JTR is on 35" (JScan corrected) with a 2" leveling kit and 3/4" in the back. 4.10s and 35" feels good and peppy even at 7,300 in elevation and 21% power loss just from altitude alone. Now towing, I can definitely tell that 33" felt so much better. Towing with 35" is tolerable but the engine screams and tranny did a lot of gear hunting. I added a Scorcher GT and helped with that. The gear hunting almost went away but you know you are towing something when the JT turns into a giant slow lump of lard going uphill. With that being said, if you live near sea level and don't tow anything, maybe 37" are tolerable. I wouldn't do it. I've contemplated gong with 4.88s but I have other projects I'd like to tackle first such as adding a hybrid solar system to our house.

Good info. I’m not towing - if ever did would go back full size. Ultimately, was going for the attached look. I almost pulled trigger on aev bumper and more aev stuff but given last experience can’t justify it. Spent $7k on JL front with skid plate, fogs etc and they couldn’t be bothered to answer a question question during install.

I’m also hesitant to put more $ into this thing after losing $20k in value in 10 months of ownership.

Good looking ride. 20K would have more than paid for my solar project.

35's look really good when you can actually accelerate to speed when a light turns green instead of gradually lumber up to pace on 37's. Unless you want to regear.

I’m talking about money lost. I paid $68k in April of last year for the Mojave X - then they brought it down $4k for 25 models and now deep incentives. Had to get out of my raptor so I could fit in parking garages but kick myself for not going with a Colorado ZR2. I’ve had maybe 10 jeeps over 20 years and have always been loyal but when I doubt I can even get $45k (almost $25k less) of 10 months owning this thing…

I got you. Depreciation is unrealized money to me.

Yea, unless you’re off road more often than not, 35 are just fine, 37’s especially without re gearing will just slow you down a ruin mileage. Love the 15” wheels ! That’s the ultimate size for off road, especially in soft sand.
