I’m wondering if anyone has been successful putting CFX3 55 IM in the 40% with a rear seat delete? I have a CFX 75DZ but debating downsizing to a 55 if I can fit it in the 40% with seat delete. I’d probably do a custom one rather than Goose gear. Any pix are much appreciated.

The 75dz is really too big. It barely fits through the door. If I could do it again, I’d go 55 instead. It’s also super heavy.

that's what I expected. I just ordered a 55 for the dometic memorial day sale. hoping I can make it fit in the 40% if i orient it along the long axis. when I had a tacoma I built a rear seat platform with a custom slide so I was able to pull out the 75 at full extension which was way better than climbing in to grab things but bc the rear doors in the JT are angled i'm pretty sure that wouldn't be possible

Correct the angle of the door kills any chance of a slide.
Glad you went with 55 because there is no way the 75 would fit drivers side without you dying if the air bag went off lol.

In reference to building it, I’m usually one to do the same. I have a router and any other tool needed to do it nicely, but at the end of the day - the goose bolted in under an hour and I just had to wait a few weeks for it. I do wish I would have known the deeper option was coming out. I might have done the 40% with the taller and had cooler on lower 60%.

totally get it -- i spent way too many hours perfecting the design on my last truck, probably spent ~ 100 hours building out a custom truck bed storage system. times a premium, and this time around i'm gonna try to find a bit more balance between DIY and not spending all my free time building up the truck and more time using it for it's intended purpose...getting out on the trails and having a good time

I dont have pictures but I get my 55im in the back sideways behind the drivers seat and still able to slightly recline the seat enough for long drives. It's tight but it fits. I also removed the cargo tray on the back cab wall when I made my own seat deletes to give a little extra room. I can also slide a rotopax between the fridge & cab wall so you should have plenty of room.

I run a 55im but have it on the 60% delete. I just happened to take it out the other day and saw this post so I tried it. Doesn’t fit without modification or unless the driver is 4 foot tall. In the pic you can see the drivers seat is at normal use, I’m 5’9” and it will not sit flat as it sits on the storage basket on the rear of the cab.

Yup.. like I said you need to remove the storage bin on the drivers side to make it work. I'm 5'8" and have no issues with this method.
