So…. I was out and about today and noticed something odd…and probably not good in the long run.
The husband had put a bottle of water in the side door basket thing. Nothing different than we’ve done before.
Getting gas today and I noticed the door wouldn’t fully close. I didn’t originally suspect the water bottle, because we’ve had bottles there beofre without any issues. So….I’m looking at the door and notice the wire loom had was bending inwards toward the door jam and ultimately getting pinched in the door jam. Took the water bottle out…and that didn’t change anything.
Fiddle with the wire loom to get it to ‘bend’ in the opposite direction….. which wasn’t as easy as I thought.
The hubby got inside and shut the door and tried to pull the wire loom out from the inside…. Nope..it’s definitely pinched in there.
See photos…
Has anyone experienced this? I’m still under warranty and not sure its worth reporting it…but then again…???
The hubby wrapped it with a electrical wire loom just to stiffen it up, so it won’t bend inward.
But….I’d hate to discover (next summer) that something is damaged.
Thoughts?
