The appointment is on 2-1. I'll be sure to post up the results after. Thanks for checking.
Sounds good, DankjeeP.

Hi Kate,

I'm very happy to report this issue has been resolved.
The tech's at Poway Jeep did a good job of diagnosing the issue as being VVT solenoid stuck.
They r&r'd the part and Jeep runs great now, like it should. I thought I had a Yugo powered lemon but now it goes quite nicely.

U R not the first person to report a similar - or perhaps - the same cause for their misfire. That's what makes this so tough.

I think there is a QC issue with FCA, and at this point the dealerships are feeling the brunt. One shop near me was booked out to mid Feb, (Jeeps sitting for a month etc). They claimed covid etc, but the shop in Poway (15 mins away) got me in and out in good order. So, the takeaway for me is some are more equipped than others, be it tech's or whatever. As a dealer that is another story for another day but suffice it to say NOT good. The reason I went to Irvine an hour away to buy.
I WISH I had asked for the failed part off my Jeep, so I could take it home and figure out what is wrong with it.

You seem to be the most on top of this issue on this forum. Are you keeping a tally?

Not keeping a tally, really, but I'm not bad at pattern recognition and recalling bits and pieces of other things. How I'm wired, I guess. The 20 year old "invisible gorilla experiment" - I notice the gorilla (but often lose track of the basketball count for a little while).
My inability to focus means I take input from all around me and see what others normally miss.
It's a curse - although sometimes it's handy.

2022 Jeep Gladiator Mojave. Barely had it just over a month. Started misfires at 1100 km. P0300 multiple misfires. Dealer told me they can't find a problem after extended testing. Told me to keep driving it until it happens again. Day after I got it back guess what happened? Now I have a steady check engine light and I get to go back and see what they told me this time. This shouldn't be happening to a new vehicle.

It's a jeep thing. You either get the bulletproof one that goes a quarter million miles, or you get the dud dont see much in-between. What's your build date? Was Jerry working the line that day? He's such a fuckup.

Do you have any parts stores near-by that would hook a scanner up and give some detail? Granted, it's most likely a multiple cylinder misfire, but perhaps they can see something else, or maybe can read live and do a freeze frame while it's running to capture the environment at the time. Some stores, like around here, it's O'Reilly's, or Advance Auto, will do some generic checking.
I don't think you want it reset because if it happens again and doesn't request the CEL set, then your dealer will never see it.

Did yours occur under heavy acceleration or just normal use?

Advance and O'Reilly's couldn't read or clear the code when mine did it.

Seriously? Around here, that's about all they CAN do is read "check engine" because they don't have scanners that will access other modules like body and ABS and such.
But then........... I've caught FCA using some unique stuff in the past, who knows!

I noticed it's happening when I'm pulling my trailer but normally happens after I've used it not during. Been hauling some firewood in my 4x8 trailer but it's not enough to make a strain
