After I turn off the Jeep. My dirve shaft makes a pinging sound as it cools done. Does anyone else experience this? I had the driveshaft replaced early on with the recall.

That's what I thought till I got under it to check it out. I know it's close to the muffler but it's definitely the drive shaft, rear section.

What @Lunentucker said. Had a Ford F250 that the exhaust shields would ping and pop after shutdown and it was just the contraction of the metal as it cooled down.

Is the driveshaft or components of it hot to the touch? Can you feel the ping if you place your hand on the driveshaft?
Is the truck lifted?
