The last 2 days my lock/unlock button on my driver door intermittently stops working. The passenger side works fine. I did have my doors off the other day so I checked the connection. If I press the connectors together the door switches will work...for a little while then nothing until I press the plugs back together. Any ideas? Nothing looks damaged in the plugs.

Also make sure all the pins are at the same level or same depth in the connector. There's a TSB about individual connectors pushing out of the shell for another location. I don't recall seeing one for the door connections but apparently it's not totally unheard of.
So if you pull it back apart, make sure all of the pins appear the same height in the shell and all of the female side in the other shell appear to be the same, none being pushed out or down.

I now know EXACTLY what the problem is and the fix for any JT or JL. When you find the drivers lock button is not working, but all other door lock buttons and the remote still works. This will be particularly true if you like in a climate with cold winters. In fact you may find that it goes intermittent and then fails during a cold spell.here is why: Turns out the wiring harness from the plug to where it enters the door trim will flex and extend every time you open the door. Because it's the drivers door, this harness gets opened and closed the most. In cold weather the plastic sheathing on individual wires gets very stiff and eventually breaks. Once the plastic sheath breaks, it's just a matter of time that the copper wire breaks. The break will happen inside the wrap that is inside the nylon strap. You cannot see it and you may be surprised that a wire broke when there is no obvious outside damage. To diagnose which wire it is, tug each wire near the plug until you find the one that pulls out. Mine was the blue/purple. I soldered on a splice and fish taped it back through the loom. Resolder behind the door panel. Rewrap with tape. Works perfect.
