DRL/Halo question

I bought new Raxium lights from Extreme Terrain.

I hooked them up and they look great!

However I question why the halo don’t work when in auto but they do when the lights come on? The ring and the lights work.

i called in and they said it was on wrong wire so I moved it. Now the halo works when in auto but when the lights come on the halo goes away and just the headlights show. (Is that correct?)

the pictures attached show one side is wired each way the passenger shows the halo running when lights are off and driver doesn’t. But when lights come on with same wiring passenger halo goes away but driver halo comes on with the headlights.

which is correct or the best way to run it?

I don't see any point in having the Halo Ring on when the headlights are on. I would think the Halo Ring should only be on when the headlights are off. Now, I'll have to go check mine and see what the factory setup is.

Thank you, please let me now. That’s what I thought was on as the DRL and turn off when the headlight comes on.

I am curious to see what yours does.

I even tried updating all the setting with the Taser also and it didn’t do it.

guess I’ll keep it as halo on as the DRL and off when the headlight comes on as it makes the fogs do it too! ** I do like the no fog drop options so when the brights come on the fogs stay on**

I’m happy overall. But still curious what your does.

Where did you tap into the wires? You may need to go further down the wire to the plug.

I made mine work both with the DRLs and headlights by using a diode for each side and splicing into the DRL positive wire and headlight positive wire for each side. The diode keeps the two positives from feeding back to each other. It worked great until I did a fender chop, and had to change the DRL positive, so now it's tapped into fuse #58, I believe.

I got it working. I tapped into both the green/white and brown/white on each side for the DRL line on the DRL bulb on the fender lights.

then the turn bulb for the amber.
