On my Mojave, I installed Dynamat Extreme under the back seat and on the inside of the rear cab wall. I also used it on the sub enclosure. I only did this because the rear seat and interior cab panel needed to be removed to replace the drivetrain control module under warranty. It made a difference for sure, but nothing night & day.I am looking to reduce the outside noise and need some suggestions on products to use and hopefully some feedback from members that already did this.
Thanks I hate to waste the money on something that doesn’t meet my expectationsFellow eastern PA JT owner here!! Bucks County to be exact!!
I’ve done both the hot heads headliner and dynamat-like material on the floorboards.
I did hot heads bc I wasn’t dropping upwards of $500 for the Coverking plus additional sound deadening materials. Hot heads works well enough.
I also removed the front seats and floor mats to install the sound deadening material too. I don’t think it helped much with sound but def helped when I was in Moab this past July (dumb, I know!).
I have read that lining the doors could be a game changer too…
thanks i will check it out .Not trying to be that guy .... but you might not get a lot of responses to this post. There are a lot of existing threads you could find by searching the forum for dynamat or similar terms ... you might be interested in this thread: Making a quieter truck where to start
