I feel the same way, I had a couple JKs that were solid they are still rolling around town to this day. If this were engine #1 being replaced I wouldn’t mind as much but 2 engines in less than 30k miles. QC is either pretty fucked or I’m just insanely unlucky. For now I plan to stay away from Mopar.
Well, I damn sure don't want to be on a flight with you having that luck or to be anywhere near its flight path. Jokes aside.
If I would have started off with problems like that at that milage and the dealership offered me a buy back I'd have took it as a clue. . . Out of it and start fresh. Yeah it's a day late dollar short thing now. Sort of why I've still got everything that was on mine when purchased, I can and would take almost everything I installed on it off. Other than the Cascadia solar system being bonded to hood. But likely I'd change out the hood.

Reddog has hit on many points. A lot of why no major changes have been made on mine. I'm guessing you didn't get any oil samples tested on it. If you had that could be a record for getting the engine situation fixed again. Then you have a documented record of engine condition. At set mileage and time. I've thought it might be a waste of money, but reading about some that have problems. I keep getting it done.
I'd bet much of the follow up problems are due to faulty work done, you already know that by now though.

Once you get it back, sell it.
That's shit Karma, man. Why pawn this POS on some poor unsuspecting soul knowing he's just gonna go through all that same bullshit you just went through?

Better to trade it in. At a Jeep dealership. Pick your least favorite. Let THEM deal with their own nightmare.

I hate hearing this but am also happy that I'm not the only one.
I'm currently waiting on Stellantis to approve our 3rd engine. Rather than stand by their warranty, they are jerking my Dealership around and my wife(it's her Gladiator). 2nd engine went in at 60ish, second engine not even 10k. o2 sensor and catalytic converter both changed out.
These things should not be happening on such new vehicles.
My dealership has been doing everything and taking care of us.
WIth that said why does Stellantis not care about their dealer network and ultimately their customers?
The dealer has had our Mojave longer than we have for 2024. @JeepCares what options do we have?
Same here, sorry you’re going through it as well but at least I’m not the only one.

Funny the dealer had it for longer than I did my first year too.

Yeah I had a lot into it already and I assumed the warrant being extended to 100k miles or 6 years would cover me if anything came up…

I would have loved to have kept all my parts too but I’m sin San Diego, real estate is not cheap and space is limited.

in the end this will get resolved one way or another but for the time being I’m moving on to something else.

Stellantis doesn't GAF, they got their money....let's be honest. Has there ever been success with @JeepCares ? They pop in time to time, ask for information......but does anything really come of it?
JeepCares actually really came through for me the first time around they were the ones that gave me the extended warranty and helped me get things moving when the dealer was lagging.

This time around not so much as of yet but I’m hoping something positive happens.

When I made the move to Alabama I had to cut away a lot of stuff unfortunately about 3 or 4 Jeeps and parts. Along with a bunch more that I left in storage got stolen. Engines, transmissions, T-cases axles ect ect. My stroker 4.0 engine project a major loss along with my liquor cabinet / bar and entertainment center I built.
So I know the "It's time to move on" Sometimes you just need a fresh start. I turned down job offers in CA. no interest in living there that was almost 20 years ago. I was in San Fran area back in April 2010.

It is the service industry these days. Everyone wants a paycheck and to say they are a “mechanic” but they lack the attention to detail to succeed. They don't even care anymore.

My wife and I had a very similar experience with Ford and an F150. We got rid of it and ordered our Gladiator new in ‘22.

Since having it I have attempted getting service at every Jeep dealer around Nashville, TN. I have experienced loose drains plugs, pulled wire harnesses, warped skid plates, missing bolts… ect.

I love the Gladiator. My Wife loves it more 🤣… it’s hers anyway…. But she refuses to let me take it to anyone else for work anymore. It’s really sad. I went to the dealer because I was wanting to pay for quality. You almost can’t find it anymore.

I’m just happy to be capable of my own mechanical work. And more so all the friends with heated shops 🤪….

UPDATE…
FCA has fully denied the claim stating it was my fault. Apparently I must have run my truck while it was overheating even thought it never gave me a warning and it never stalled or went into limp mode. The dealership is making seem like “my maintenance” was the issue saying I must’ve not changed the oil often enough. They changed the oil on Jan 2023, between Jan 23 to Jan 25 I’ve put in 8k miles and I changed the oil twice in that timeframe, even though the change oil light never came on, I remember I did this especially the last time because when I changed the oil I found a leak and took it to the dealer in aug 24 where they also changed it again and never found any signs of overheating. So now I’m on my way to pick it up from the dealer where I have a $300 diagnostics fee to pay. They have had my truck for over a week, I’ve been paying Ubers to get around for a while because they also wouldn’t offer a rental and I still have to pay them for this. I’m beyond pissed. Trying to keep my cool and not go off…

@JeepCares where you at???

So they won't back their own warranty.

I'd request documentation and photographic evidence of said negligence and proof of the actual overheating.

It smells like a bunch of halfassary

That sucks to here, unless you got "fuck you" money to fight it, they got you by the short and curlies to do what they want. FCA relies heavily on the dealership input and what they feed them for 90% of the decisions they make.

UPDATE
This is going to cost $9700!?
FML…

So today I went to the dealer and as I pulled up I heard from FCA they asked me to not take the truck and to leave it there until Monday as they will have a supervisor review the case, no offer to get a rental btw… so now it’s at the dealer for more time…

The issue I have at the moment is that they are not telling me WHY it overheated and If it did overheat;
1. Why didn’t anything light up on the truck
2. Something had to have failed that caused the overheating shouldn’t THAT be the reason it overheated, it’s like the dealership is like, “oh the truck just randomly overheated one time and you just said fuck it and drove it like that.”
3. Why is it denied, nothing in my warranty info says anything about overheating not being covered and the dealership is very vague and not giving any details. All they are saying is we asked for the approval from FCA and they denied it. No solid reason nothing just here is the estimate.

Ask for the logs and screenshots/print out of the DTC or codes then pulled from your truck.....ensure it has your VIN on it.

I trust dealers and techs as far as I can throw them. I have been a tech and I know the sneaky half ass shit they do. You need proof.......them talking is NOT proof.

If they, the dealer or FCA is denying, they need to provide proof and evidence dot period.
