Just looking to see how many are having the same issue, and what you’ve been told as far as fixes, causes, etc.

I brought my 2020 Gladiator into the dealership in March for engine misfires. They chalked it up to being overdue for an oil change, restricted my warranty and billed me for $1400 of repairs that didn’t fix the issue.

Fast forward two months, and I’m still without the Gladiator. Two independent mechanics and four dealerships now have said my warranty never should have been restricted, and that the issue has nothing to do with an overdue oil change. Apparently this is a common and documented issue with the Gladiators, including the three that the dealership is currently being serviced by the dealership I’m currently dealing with.

Just looking to see who else has dealt with similar issues.

I feel sorry for the crap you’re having to deal with. I can say that there are many who have experienced the misfire conundrum, including myself which had my truck stuck out in the dealership lot for over 40 days waiting for a camshaft replacement back in July 2021. On the flip side, there are many many gladiator owners that have not experienced the misfire yet, that will, but many others will never have to deal with it.

There’s many reasons and causes for misfires. Mine was a damaged camshaft and lifters. For others, it’s a leaky valve cover that drips oil onto oxygen sensors, or it’s spark plugs and coils and for others it’s a bad injector.

I’m more curious as why the restriction was because of your over due oil change. How late was it? My engine is consuming coolant, a steady stream into the oil and detected by oil analysis but FCA could care less and feel I should forget about it. Ya, glycol in my oil is ok.
