Hello fellow gladiator fans. Being a brand new and first time Jeep owner, I am sure learning fast about Jeeps and I love that I finally took the leap. I am wondering about the engine warm up period that I just noticed. I get a message upon start-up on the dash info center in the "start/stop" mode that states, "not ready, engine temperature too low." I usually keep the dash screen in the gas mileage mode and have not got this warning before. It takes about 4 mins for the warning to go away and get the "ready" message. Is this for the start/stop function only? If so, why does the engine have to be fully warmed up? Or am I completely wrong and its a matter of this engine having to be warmed up properly all the time. I live in Southern California and it really doesn't get as cold here as in other parts of the country.
Suppose I could read the 1000 page manual and possibly find the answer. Ugh... So many good minds here though.
