Evo Mfg Quarter Pounder and Badlands Winch

Just a post if anyone ever wantes to have this combo.

Clearances are very tight.

1. The wires from the control box contact the grill(not an issue if you relocate the control unit).

2. Fairlead offset bracket bolt from Evo needs to be trimmed for the winch to even fit.

3.Winch needs to be all the way forward to fit which makes install of the winch bolts to be not as straight forward.

Also I managed to mess up one of the winch mount bolts or nut, will fix eventually(maybe). Running 3 bolts for now. Other than that, I think it looks great and have yet to use it or even respool the winch.

Member @svc707 makes 1/4" & 3/8" spacer plates that will push the bumper forward off the grille.

I bought a set for the exact issue with my Go Rhino Stubby. May have to buy longer mount hardware if the grip length will not account for it.

Looks like you just made me spend more money next week. Thanks for the heads up. The Evo bumper came with 3 similar plates already, guess I'd just need a 4th.

FWIW, a lot of the bumper makers just recycled their JK designed bumpers to claim fitment compatibility on the JL/JT but there is some dimensional tolerance difference between the two that some will be snug or ride close to the grille of the JL/JT.

Get a step drill, take the control box off, protect the stuff in the box with rags or tape or something, then drill a new hole for the wire.

Not a bad idea either, but I still would like the extra clearance with a bumper spacer just so the bolts line up a bit better. Might still drill a hole for a cleaner look though.
