I’ve got a 2020 Rubi with the factory amp and sub and one day my radio 8.4 just decided to stop putting out sound. I have checked fuses and everything looks good but i can not figure out why have zero sound coming from any speakers. All i can guess is my jeeps amp took a crap. I’m looking for the cheapest easiest fix as i am not in the position to upgrade my sound system as we all know that can cost quite a lot. I just need my radio to work I’m sick of haveing to use a wireless speaker in it’s place

Check the fuse. Should be fuse F12 in the fuse box behind the battery

Does your headunit power on? Have you tried resetting it?

Yes it powers on and functions as it should minus the output of sound. I have reset it in every different way I can read about. Buttons, fuses, batteries and obd link. Nothing has worked. I've reset every setting I can. This has been going on for well over a month now. I'm fine with replacing the amp not fine with having to spend hundreds to do so. I just can't afford that on VA disability pay..... And of course my jeep is outta warranty 🤦🏼‍♀️

I'd check the ground in the driver foot well. If that doesn't fix it then i would replace the amp.

AMP is 260 on EBAY.

What can I replace it with that doesn't cost a ton? 260 for the same junk amp sounds like a lot of like a cheaper aftermarket amp

There are cheaper Amps like Kicker for around 120. But you'll have to cut up your stock harness which will be more time and money. OEM setups have their own proprietary connection/connectors. After market is universal and generally requires a modification of the stock wiring Assy or full rewire. OEM would be at least plug n play. I'm not aware of a cheap plug n play aftermarket. OEMAUDIO+ makes a kit that plug n play but they wont sell an individual part. You have to buy the whole ass 3200 dollar setup.

Try a head reset by pushing the volume & channel buttons at the same time hold for 15-20

Try a head unit reset . It's simple.
Hold the volume and channel buttons in simultaneously and hold for 15 to 20 seconds I have done 17 or 18 seconds . Let go it will go through a reset . See if that works .

You also make sure hood switches were not stuck .. and open and close the door after turning off power before starting the reset?

So there are two part numbers related to your AMP.

68441766AB - This is what you have, Jeep revised this in 2021. This may mean you could possibly get your replaced via warranty to the revised model.

68549092AA - This is the revised model and what I recommend replacing yours with should you decide to stay OEM. It should be more reliable. This option is exclusive to MY 20'-21' as MY 22' and beyond use a different amp.

Ebay should have both of these for sub 300 bucks.
