I love my Gladiator, although the wheels are OK (base silver 5 spoke wheels). I do like the look of the black/silver Rubicon factory wheels which leads to my question.

Can I, if I can find someone selling a set of Rubicon wheels (hopefully, because I'm lazy, with tires), can I just take off my stock wheels/tires and swap out? Looking on the Jeep site, the sizes are the same, although the tires on the Rubicons look to be a bit more aggressive tread.

Which leads into my next question, I'm using the Jeep to tow a camper in the nicer weather, would going to Rubicon gear affect my towing at all (if they're a touch larger)?

Didn’t read the posted threads. Will it work and are you looking to purchase? I just bought a gladiator off the lot that is a rubicon with their gloss wheel package if you’re looking for those.

So from what I read, it will, and while I appreciate the offer of the wheels (and they're the ones I like the looks of,) I think NY would be a bit of a drive to get them (and I don't even want to THINK about the cost to ship!)

There are a bunch of sets of rubicon wheels / tires on Facebook Marketplace in MI at the moment.

I'll have to ask the wife to take a look, I'm not on Facebook, thank you!

With a small amount of patience you can also find take-off rubi JT shocks/springs (sometimes with sway bar end links and control arms) for pretty cheap too, and now you've got a Sport with 33s and and inch of lift for a couple grand in parts. For Detroiters like us with no rocks to crawl, this closes the meaningful gap between a Sport and a Rubi for next to nothing....

You don't say what year YOUR JT is, so here's some advice.

If you have a newer JT, make SURE the wheels and tires you are buying are from a newer Rubicon.
If not, your TPMS will NOT work. JEEP, in their almighty wisdom, changed the TPMS system and there is a definite cut off date on what does and doesn't work.
