what are the issues with putting the Falcon SP2 3.3 adjustable shocks on a V6 gas Rubicon Gladiator? I know the valving is different, but I can buy a used set for a good price. Is it worth doing? Can I adjust the setting’s enough to make the ride comfortable both on and off road? My Gladiator has a 2.5” Teraflex lift and the shocks are for a 2.5” lift.

Not much. The front reservoirs are a little shorter, as the standard gas reservoir would bump into the diesel’s aux battery.

I have no idea if they actually changed the damping on the diesel shocks compared to the gas shocks. Ordinarily you’d expect the shock for a heavier rig with heavier springs would get a heavier valving. But until I see someone put both on a shock dyno side by side, I’ll be skeptical. These aren’t exactly super high end shocks.

I put diesel/392 Falcon shocks, they both have the shorter reservoir, on a 2.0 ltr Wrangler and they work fine. There is plenty of adjustment in the dampening.
