We have been toying with ways to build self-contained acoustic panels with integrated fiber optics to create a "Starlight" effect. It is a rather tedious process to build these and now that we have a system figured out we wanted to get some feedback on this concept. These would install like the Mopar headliner kit and connect to the nearby courtesy light for power and will have quick connects for easy hardtop removal.

Even if this is not your "cup of tea" if you have kids, nieces, nephews, its worth doing the mod just to see how much they enjoy it!

You’re right, not my cup of tea, but the wife might like it on her Jeep. That is a great product idea. Really inventive. Plus, assuming it’s similar to existing headliner material, it’s functional in that way as well. Nice work, good luck with it

Edit: confirmed, my wife does indeed like it. The quick disconnects caught her ear as well. Y’all are on to something

It's a neat idea but I feel like this is something that would end up on a bunch of SEMA trucks and not so much in the wild.

If you're tapping into the wiring is there a separate switch for these? How easy would the connectors be to plug/unplug and how many cycles can they handle? Would there be a matching set for the rear (where kids actually sit) or are these freedom panel only? How bright are they (safety issue while driving)?

Won't work so well with my soft top unfortunately

Kids would love it. Depending on price and install I'd get them

I dig ‘em but wouldn’t want to pay a lot. Maybe $50?

 Yeah, that would be great.

The factory option alone (WITHOUT the Lights) is over $500!

... but $525 is a steal compared to the $14,000.00 that RR charges for this feature on their cars :whew:

Nice for someone, another idea might be adding white or yellow lights that can be used for interior lighting to see stuff inside to.

Yeah.......but it comes with a Rolls Royce...Haha

I like it, but I wouldn’t spend $525 on it. Neat idea anyhow!:like:
