Good to hear you trust your dealer.Dealer did alignment, made no difference.
Me personally....... I trust then verify.
I’ve heard of others that had their dealers check or perform the alignment only to find it was still out of spec.
It is not a difficult thing to check OR adjust on your own and it IS something that will need to be done in the future as bushings wear and you get play in all of the steering connections which will once again cause you to get that wandering or loose steering feeling.
Here’s a simple and effective method you can do on your own and save yourself time and money.
The whole process literally takes no more than about 10 to 15 minutes to do.
NOTE:
I used this method and the video did not mention that you need to have the levels on your tires at a height BELOW the center of your wheels so that you can get the measuring tape to cross underneath all your frame and components AND to take the measurements with the tape measure touching the treads of the tires. Another thing to note is to make sure the levels are resting on the sidewalls where they are smooth and NOT on any raised lettering which could throw off getting a proper measurement across the levels. It would be ideal to have the levels touch off on the rims and avoid the raised lettering issue all together but you would need to make some type of standoff or spacer to do so. I myself bought a pair of aluminum levels for $14 each and will drill a couple holes to add a couple bolts spaced apart so as to rest on the outer flat of the rims.
