Lol I know I just like rubbing their noses in it.

Somebody over there in Jeepland is saying

"gotdamn these forum guys don't let up!, Hey jimmy where we at on those LE's?"

Jimmy: "Oh Idk the guy who makes the schedule is on maternity leave till Dec. Probably March. Just keep telling them one more month." @JeepCares
From the Zen/Cosmic point of view... when something is EASY to find, EASY to get, comes EASY to us... it rarely carries much value. In fact, quite the opposite, it is generally taken for granted, and dismissed, as commonplace. From the Capitalist point of view, it actually looses value! (Hence FCA’s, relatively slow roll, release of their new icon JT. If they were “abundantly available at dealerships everywhere”... they might not command an average mid fifties pricetag!)

So, like Platinum, Gold, and Diamonds, from a marketing standpoint, rarity is paramount to establishing the “pinnacle of its segment” price (and general public perception) of the Gladiator.

Bear in mind, the general public is, relatively, unaware of, (and has not been sweating out), the release of said icon, like we have... “It’s a Jeep thing!”

So, also bearing in mind, the Zen/Cosmos law of rarity...

the longer it takes, the harder the wait, the more difficult it is to finally acquire, a Granite Crystal Metallic, Jeep Rubicon, limited release, Launch Edition, JT Gladiator...

the GREATER it’s (Platinum/Gold/Diamond) rarity quotient grows!

(As, clearly, evidenced by the percentage of GCM LE defector/casualties who have caved... and purchased a commonplace, run of the mill, readily available, average colored, NON-LE, still rare (but LESS rare), version of our precious icon!)

Brothers and Sisters of the GCMJTLEMC (Motor Club)... Stay Zen! Ohmmmmm... ;{

I’m about to start a daily check in with the concierge just so they can feel a little annoyed like I do. Or maybe Barbara takes these calls and the. Goes to get in her Granite LE and laughs all the way home because, well, all the FCA employees are the ones driving our rigs. I spoke to them this morning and they said “honestly, we have no updates and really wish it was different news.” So here I am enjoying the 4th of July week without my Gladiator, exercising my 1st amendment right to bellyache to a bunch of people that can’t do anything about my problems.

PS.
@JeepCares doesn’t really care at all. I just figured it needed to be said once more.

lol i know i know but man 3 months since order date and no updates. that's a true test of patience. Maybe we'll see an update next quarter? I'm all for this thing being more rare, however I don't plan to sell it ever so the resale part doesn't affect me ;)

I’m driving mine the rest of my life! But, its value will still be appreciated, by me... (and by my offspring, who will inherit my mint condition, bone stock, 2020 GCMJTRLE)! :clap: ;{

You may as well stop tagging @JeepCares, because they don't. They would never come out and say they aren't being built until 2021, just that it won't be built until Aug 19, then Sept 19, then Oct 19, then...

FWIW, the guy on FB sent a screenshot showing his Granite Sport S is scheduled to ship 7/5. So I'm calling BS on Barbara and the concierge line again regarding "paint issues."
Can you post the screenshot? Not that I don’t take your word, I trust you implicitly, Kayakmike! (My brother in GCMLE hell!) Just curious to see it! ;{

Today I got the answer to my question, which will be first my GCLE Gladiator or the custom key tags I ordered. The one that arrived first is in this post.

Begs the question... which will come first for me? The GCMLE I ordered on 4/4/19, or the plot I ordered at Shady Rest Memorial Acres? :facepalm: ;{

Been pushing pretty hard all morning to get some answers. Spoke to Jeep concierge, Jeep customer care (twice after getting hung up on when I pushed back demanding answers), Jeep incentives (they literally just needed someone else to talk to me), and my dealer. I have been given exactly zero answers other than they would put a rush in. This is getting beyond frustrating.

I called this AM. Barbara is saying they will start production end of July now so that sounds consistent with what you heard Friday. I don't believe her since it's always "a month away". End of July they will probably say end of August, and so on and so on....

So Barbara also gave the same story they've been feeding lately about how they are having problems switching over the paint to Granite, blah, blah. However, someone on a FB page says his Granite Sport S is being built today and he has friends in the plant. That sounds like they don't have a problem with the paint. Beyond frustrating that we can get such conflicting information.
I have a friend on the line in Toledo. He messaged me this morning that the Granites were coming down the line today, first ones he’s seen.... 1 step closer

Sweet! Someone mentioned elsewhere that the issue is with Granite fenders and body colored tops (which Granite LEs would have). Would be nice to know if what he sees coming down the line are all Granite, or Granite bodies with black fenders and tops.

Have your friend take pictures but be careful, he could go to jail for taking pictures of his workplace. Wait, that was a guy on a submarine. Others have gotten away with worse so maybe he’ll be okay. Just in case I’ve willed my C Status to my grandkids and I don’t have grandkids.
