I will say one downside of the Mojave is trying to find a bumper that works with the front skid plate. I have found numerous bumpers I've loved but they are not compatible because of the remote shock reservoirs.

Unless they changed something this year, the Mojave (like the Rubicon) has a "winch ready" OEM bumper available. It does not have a winch plate, but it is steel and they call it "winch ready." If you are buying from dealer stock, just check the window sticker and see if it has the "steel winch ready bumper package" as an option, about $999 or $1,099 if I remember correctly on my Rubicon.

If you get the Mojave X or Rubicon X, it is not a separate item but is already included.

In either case, with the Mopar bumper, there should be no issue with skid plates.

As long as you don’t drive it like the JA that I almost just took out on the way home I support trading in a car for a full sized truck. More useful. I need to get my train horn project buttoned up. Some people have less sense than a squished squirrel around here.
Surely you can't be a native of SC ?

Correct, and I keep hoping I'll find a take-off for sale locally for a reasonable price. There are some available but people are asking close to what a new one costs. I lost out on one for $200 by about 20 minutes.

I had not owned a Jeep in years, due to circumstance and crap wages. Since the day that changed, and I realized I could buy a new Jeep, I immediately went for the Mojave and haven't ever looked back. I do some minor off-roading and trail riding, but have no real plans to crawl with this big Jeep. Again, 95% of her life is spent on the roads, with a random turn onto mud/dirt/snow/what-have-you. My only regret so far is that I didn't pony up for the Mojave X in the beginning, along with the optional OEM beadlock wheels.

Do it. Get the Mojave. Unless the one you get is a total lemon, you wont be disappointed.

Dont forget that the Steel Rubicon Bumper for a JL is functionally identical to the Gladiator steel bumper. Managed to find one here in Anchorage that the guy was selling for $150 bucks. Major win. Good luck in your bumper hunt.

And the Rubicon steel skid plate that goes with it is again almost identical to the silver Mojave one, its just not silver, and it still protects your Mojave reservoir shocks.

Wow, $150 for the Rubicon Bumper in Alaska! To get a new one here is nearly impossible from a dealer and used ones get grabbed immediately. I would expect that in Alaska you would pay more (as you do for a lot of other things) but you definitely made a great deal on that one!

Nope. Born in Ohio. Raised in Louisiana. Landed on a decent sized piece of land in Cali and really don’t want to move again.
I can tell by the way you talk .😂 I been all over the US worked with lots of guys from Ohio and Louisiana through the years.

Yeah, that's the one thing I definitely don't want to compromise on. I want to go to 35's and the 4.10 gears from what I've seen handle it significantly better. I was looking at Sport S with the Max Tow but I couldn't find any with the creature comforts I wanted. Going from a Laramie 2500 which I'll never use for what it's built to do to a Gladiator, I didn't want it to feel like a total downgrade to the equivalent of a 1500 Classic. That's why the Mojave and Rubicon are what I'm looking at.
My 2025 JTM X came with steel OEM bumpers that allowed me to remove end caps.. wa la..custom stubby now with top bar added and factory 4.10 gears ready for bigger tires. Great feeling ride over wife’s 2024 JLR X.

In our family, we have three wranglers, all are Rubicon's. Our fourth vehicle is a new 2025 Gladiator Mojave. The Mojave is my favorite, based on the HD Suspension, frame and steering linkage. The ride and handling are heads above the other three..IMO
