2020 Max tow Sport S 70K miles:

Hello all,

New to the forum found myself here after hours of reading up on the N3 Power fuse blowing as part of the Fuse Array. First encounter with this issue was about a month and half ago when after leaving a grocery store an stopped at a light the truck flashed power steering warning light and then went dead. No start and dash lights flashing. Couldn't figure it out while cars piled behind me while hazards wouldn't work and nothing but gremlins on the dash. Jumped the truck with a small jump box I had on me and it started but gave the warning sign of death in "pull over safely as truck would shut down". I was able to turn around and make it about 2 miles to local Jeep dealer where in service bay the truck died again. They checked the negative because all the lights on dash were blinking, wipers going the whole 9. Cables were tight, they jumped with their jump box it started briefly while revving on its own when it finally died and that was it. Next day they called saying they tested batteries and both were good and the problem was the fuse array. $400 later I picked up the truck and went on my way. That night I read about issues that came up from the array going bad and looked into buying spares, but didn't thinking its gone 70k miles with no issues so a spare can wait. About two weeks later I drove about 40 mins to scout out a local campsite. I arrived, turned off truck and spent about 10 mins looking at the site. Got in and powered up the truck, put in reverse to back out and the "pull over safely truck with turn off" warning came on again. I high tailed out trying to make it closer to home and the nearest big town but only got about 4-5 miles before she shut down completely. Called tow, and $200 later truck was back at home. I ordered 2 replacements, one to go in right away to get truck back operational and the other as a spare. This past weekend I was trailering my boat to a campsite about 2 hours away, we got within town of the lake, stopped to fill truck up and boat with gas. Filled my truck, got in, started the truck and turned around as fill port for boat is on the opposite side of truck and turned off truck and filled boat. Got in the truck and NO Start. Powered on, dash was fine no errors no flashing no wipers going crazy, just no start. Jump didnt work, after a few minutes of playing around trying to find out the cause I replaced the fuse array again (now 3rd time in month and half) and truck started and ran fine. Made it to camp, launched boat and returned home no issues.

Sorry for long and winded post here, but anyone have any insight as to what may be blowing the N3 so much as of recent? I have some BD squadron PODS that have been on the truck for awhile along with a winch and light bar in bumper that have been installed for awhile also prior to the issue. Obviously a short, could the PCR be bad and need to be replaced? Blowing during the pre-start check then truck just runs on Aux batt until dead?

Should I just do the AUX delete by removing ground for AUX and pulling PCR fuse (#42 I think I read)?

Thanks for any and all input.
